Be sure to wash off all the salt deposits on your vehicle built up during winter. We highly recommend a professional wash and detail. That’s because a pro knows where to look for those hard-to-find salt deposits that can cause costly rust damage to your vehicle. Also, be sure that your interior carpets get a deep cleaning.
The chances are you didn’t use your vehicle’s A/C during the winter. Therefore, you will want to check the system to ensure that it is ready for spring. Turn on the A/C and make sure that cool air blows through every vent. Also, be sure to change the cabin air filter.
You may be putting more miles on the road this spring. Make sure that all of your tires are in top shape. Check the tread level and make sure there are at least 2/32 inches of depth. Be sure that the psi level on each tire is between 30 and 35. Finally, inspect each sidewall for any sign of cracking or damage.
Now is a good time to inspect each of your vehicle’s windshield wiper blades. Check for any signs of wear, such as peeling rubber or bent blades. While the wiper blades are in motion, check if the blades are skipping against the glass or making any squealing sounds. We offer OEM Volkswagen wipers if your current wipers need to be replaced.
Finally, be sure to inspect your car’s battery. During the winter, your battery may lose cranking power. You can check your battery’s power level by looking at your vehicle’s lights. Any dim lights are a sign that the battery is losing its charge. Also, check your battery casing and battery terminals for any sign of corrosion.
