I have had my car serviced by Douglas Motors for many years. Every member of the staff is friendly and professional. My service writer Rick keeps excellent track of what needs to be done on my vehicle and recommends service appropriate to the car. The car is always returned, at the time promised, in perfect order and freshly washed! I would recommend this service department to anyone.

Rick Szucs is the service person I always deal with, and his efficient and professional way of dealing with customers, makes getting the work done much more pleasant. I am on my second VW from Douglas VW. I have a CC and Routan. Rick Szucs in the service department has been my guy for the last 4 years. He has gone above and beyond what is necessary to get me back on the road in the shortest amount of time. Rick knows my cars, knows my family and our schedule and has helped me on holidays and weekends, gotten me into loaners and has really made my down time minimal. I cannot stress enough how valuable it has been to be able to contact Rick and I know I will never have an issue. I strongly recommend Douglas, because their service department is top notch.

I have just returned from a service appointment on my 2000 Jetta, which I purchased from Douglas in October 1999. Since I live in Manhattan, there are certainly more convenient options for servicing my vehicle, but other than the occasional oil change, I make a point of traveling to Summit, because I know that Rick will take good care of me and my vehicle. Initially, my service representative was Frank Miller (I think that was his name). Frank did a great job, too, but I feel that Rick always goes the extra mile for his customers. I feel confident that he really knows the business, and makes sure that every aspect of the vehicle is in tip-top shape. This is particularly important now that the car is getting older (although it only has about 65,000 miles). Rick is also an all-around nice guy, and I overhear him with other customers, and he shows that same friendly, competent manner to everyone. Douglas should be proud to have Rick on its staff. He really does a great job!

I had a problem with the glow plugs, relais and harness. One of the glow plugs was also stuck and couldn’t be removed. Rick reassured me that the service people are very knowledgable about TDI motors and he will make sure that the problem will be solved. Another VW dealer didn’t offer any help. Rick also explained the relatively high cost for this relais. My 2002 Jetta got fixed, all glow plugs have been replaced and I am very happy with the result. I definitely will use the Douglas VW service for my car in the future.
