I have loved cars ever since I was a kid and when I was looking for a job a few years ago I figured I would try the business. I think its been a good choice. After a sales stint at Montclair Acura, I came to Douglas in November 2009 and have since been working in the Business Development Center.

What is your favorite movie?

Favorite VW and why:
I really like my Jetta SEL, but I think I would pick the Eos because driving a convertible in the summer is pretty awesome.
Favorite Vacation Spot
Tie between The Hamptons and the Jersey Shore.
Why do you LOVE Douglas?
I think Douglas is unique because we combine a small-town sales experience with a very current focus on technology and the Internet to sell cars. I have great co-workers and managers who are very motivated. There is a lot of pride and teamwork here which I think is not very common in the car business today. Plus we have a very strong product in Volkswagen and it is exciting being part of this brands’ sales and status revival.

My wife, Adrienne, is very happy with her new Jetta Sportwagon that we just picked up from Douglas Volkswagon in Summit, NJ. The dealership got us what she wanted, made me happy with the deal and our trade (although we’ll miss the Magnum!), and treated us very well. Special thanks to Sales Consultants Issac Bunton for his honesty and patience, and Chris Ng, who handled the financial closing in a very straightforward and efficient manner. Adrienne also appreciated Internet Manager Dan Beckelman bringing her in with a good offer after we were a bit put off by somewhat of a runaround from another dealer closer to home. I was very favorably impressed by the Dealer and all whom we worked with to get the new “Black Panther”, as Adrienne calls it. Unfortunately, we now get to try out the Service Department sooner than expected, as Adrienne got rear-ended while stopped in traffic on Route 24 on the way home, literally 15 minutes after we got the car. It’s mostly just a bumper scratch with no one hurt, but you still hate when it happens. I should have known when they said the payments were due on the 13th of the month. Oh well, kudos to Douglas VW and best luck going forward to Adrienne and her new Sportswagon.

I recently purchased a 2011 VW GTI from Jimmy Aleszczyk at Douglas VW in Summit, NJ. Jimmy greeted me as soon as I walked in the door and was nothing short of amazing during the entire process. I gave him a hard task of taking over a leased vehicle with one year left on the contract. He went above and beyond to earn my business and came out with a great deal for me.
There was no haggling, no hidden costs, and no dealership tricks at Douglas VW. It was truly the best buying experience I ve had in 11 years of purchasing vehicles.
I have to praise Dan Beckelman and the online sales team as well for getting me in the door. After my purchase, Douglas was great about following up and listening to customer feedback. Any business that listens to their customers will always succeed, and it s obvious that Douglas VW is one of those businesses.

I highly recommend Bob Cerza and Daniel Beckelman at Douglas VW. Being very keen on avoiding the annoying haggling that goes into most car purchases, I found Bob, Dan and the staff at Douglas to be a breath of fresh air. I shopped around quite a bit prior to visiting Douglas and experienced a wide range of prices and a high level of “haggle harrassment” and “purchasing pressure”. Bob and Dan were straight shooters who gave me an excellent price right from the start. From there, the entire purchasing process was completely pain free. Of special note, Bob took considerable time to ensure that I knew everything about the car prior to pulling off the lot…and he did it all during a monsoon worthy night of weather. Anyone I know who expresses the slightest interest in purchasing a VW will be immediately referred to Douglas VW.

Dan Beckman responded immediately and put me in touch with Bob Cerza, the salesman. We took a test drive with him. Nice car! And Bob was very friendly. He responded quickly to every text message or e-mail, and eventually I feel we worked out a great price. Very good shopping experience, and we still love the car!

He was professional, informed and a friendly guy. He worked with us in a way that was reminiscent of a small town dealer by giving us his full attention and working out all the details. We also have to thank Dan the internet specialist who was our initial contact. We drove away knowing that the next time we are in the market for a car, Douglas VW will be the first place we go.

Dan Beckleman was super quick and professional about getting in contact with me after my initial query and handing the sales off to Chris Ng. From there Chris has given the highest level of customer service and care offering the best possible experience one can have buying a car. Chris has gone so far as putting the plates on the car himself and answering my random questions on his day off. As a sales manager myself I’d steal these guys away if I could afford them. True professionals, fair prices, honest and sincere service. They’ve truly earned a loyal customer.
