As a big GTI fan, and a member of different VW forums, I learned that Douglas Volkswagen was way to go. For mod freaks, they are mod friendly, two thumbs up! So, Saturday morning, November 5, 2011, I decided to make little trip, in my little VW Rabbit, from New York to their dealership and “see” new 2012 GTI. Fast Forward (for those without patience to read), I am coming back home in Carbon Steel GTI 2012. Coming from Rabbit 2008, I can say, “What a difference, what a car, awesome.” 4 hours earlier – I was looking around and approached by Bobby McCall. He took me around to see two GTIs, one manual and the other with DSG gearbox. I’m passionate driver and was torn between manual or DSG. It’s hard to decide, but considering that I live in NYC, and with stop and go traffic, and the fact that I can’t give up on my coffee mug while driving. So I opted with DSG. Decisions, decisions! Thanks Bobby for your patience. Bobby is a gentleman and he knows his business. Not the pushy kind of salesperson, like in NYC. Very professional and he took care of the paper work for trading in the Rabbit. Remember, I only came to “see”, and when Bobby asked me “What stops you from buying”, I was sold. Absolutely nothing, wrap it up, I said. Two weeks later – BIG box (like tube TV box) of popcorn at my door as complimentary from Bobby and Douglas VW Three weeks later – one more BIG box of popcorn. Four weeks later – I am sick of popcorns. I am still eating those from last two weeks. I would strongly recommend seeing Bobby. All worked out well. Sincerely Vladimir Solic
