Inside the car will be just the bare essentials, the usual race seat, harness, various gauges and of course a mile of monkey bars to keep Jeffrey protected. Under the bonnet the original 2.0l donk has been replaced with a 1.8l 20V that will produce over 1000hp at the front wheels. Yes, 1000hp from a 1.8l. Jeff's GTI features a large Precision 7585 turbo and an air-to-air intercooler. It also showcases one of FFEs custom intake manifolds as seen here in progress Modifications will include a set of 83mm JE pistons, Integrated Engineering Tuscan rods with an Autronic SM4 as the brains of the operation. A look at the bell mouths. Originally an average 2.0fsi model with a flash new paint job and R32 kit. Forcefed Engineering have been put in charge of turning the car into an all-out beast.

Douglas VW's Customer App

Douglas Volkswagen has now gone the extra length to satisfy their customers with a new technological development. Douglas Volkswagen has just launched their dealership app. You can download it either in the iTunes, Android or Blackberry App stores or by downloading a QR code.

The Douglas Volkswagen app is a convenient, value-added and informative piece of technology that is a must have for any Douglas Volkswagen customer. An intriguing features of this app is “My Garage”, where you can store all pertinent information about your vehicle. Once the data is stored you can not only schedule a service appointment but maintain all your service history. Soon from “My Garage”, you will be able to chat directly with your Douglas Volkswagen Service Advisor  and scan your VIN so you can receive updates on any recalls for your automobile.

When you load the Douglas Volkswagen app, you are taken to the “Tool Kit” screen. The “Tool Kit” features several functions that make your driving experience a little easier. From here, you can check out where the local cheapest gas prices are and under “Parking Assistant” you can use GPS to locate your car as well as keep track of time on your parking meter. Additionally, “Tool Kit” stores your Roadside Assistance number, keeps you in touch with all of Douglas Volkswagen Social Media sites and provides you with all industry news related to Volkswagen. Quite simply, this app is a must have for any Douglas Volkswagen customer as it makes your car ownership experience extremely manageable all right from your shirt pocket.

Douglas Volkswagen brought their award-winning Passat, Jetta TDI and Golf TDI while Infiniti brought their brand new Infiniti  JX35 Crossover. While a soulful band played an eclectic mix of Caribbean and Contemporary Rock music, the Douglas VW and Douglas Infiniti Sales Consultants fielded questions from the United Airlines employees. Many of the employees were impressed to find out the VW TDI’s gave up to a mid 40′s MPG and about the Infiniti JX’s Eco mode and Eco pedal functions.  Douglas was also proud to announce at Earth Day the release of their two new apps. Whether he’s talking to Douglas VW customers or fellow employees, his quick wit and wealth of knowledge are always worth your time. His roots with Douglas run deep. His parents have bought 5 cars from Douglas, the first one being purchased in 1962. Rick himself has been the proud owner of 9 different Douglas automobiles, including his 2003 VW Jetta with 205,000 miles on the odometer and still running strong.

When Rick isn’t tending to the needs of Douglas VW Service customers at his desk, he can be seen wearing many different hats. From pulling Douglas VW Service customers cars up front when the valets are backed up, to washing cars when the wash crew is at maximum capacity to helping a Douglas VW Service tech diagnose an issue with an automobile. As Ricks says, “I bleed Douglas VW blue.” He also attributes his work ethic to the Douglas culture. “Ownership has always made sure that not only their customers are treated right but also their employees. Happy employees make happy customers.”

When Rick isn’t busy working at Douglas, he goes home to an occupation which may require even a larger skill-set…he is the father of 4 daughters aged 4-18. Every now and then Rick will pack up his daughters and head over to the house of his friend and co-worker Douglas VW Assistant Service Manager Dominic Romano’s house. Rick and his girls will spend the day helping Dominic with his yardwork. The bottom line about Rick Szucs is this: most people wake up every day and go to a job. Rick Szucs work is not just his job but something he is passionate about: automobiles and happy customers. On February 21, 2012 from 8:30am-3pm, Douglas Volkswagen partnered with Continental and United Airlines to share in Employee Appreciation Day. They had chance to meet some long-standing

employees of Continental and United Airlines as well as raffle off a Kindle Fire.

A Continental/United Airlines employee, Janice, came by Douglas VW on Friday February 23th and bought a 2012 VW Jetta! The Kindle Fire raffle winner, Christine who was worked for Continental Airlines for over 32 years came in on February 24th to claim her free Kindle Fire!

The Douglas Auto Group had a blast and hopes everyone had a great Employee Appreciation Day!
